Rolling Rubber Springs

Description:

GMT offer a large range of rolling rubber mounts which are vibration dampening elements consisting of a rubber ring, a tapered insert and a metal housing. The metal parts and the rubber ring are not bonded together by vulcanisation. Roller springs are used for dampening vibrations in rail vehicles. The characteristics of roller springs can be varied as required within their permissible capacity. Load capacities range from 20 to 80kN with suspension travel ranging from 60 to 120mm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are rolling rubber springs? +

Rolling rubber springs are flexible suspension components designed to provide vibration isolation, shock absorption, and load distribution in rail and industrial applications.

How do rolling rubber springs work? +

They use an elastic rolling motion to absorb shocks and vibrations, ensuring smooth movement and reducing mechanical stress on connected components.

What types of rolling rubber springs does GMT Rubber offer? +

We provide high-performance rolling rubber springs for rail vehicles, industrial machinery, and other applications requiring vibration reduction.

Why are rolling rubber springs important? +

They improve ride comfort, extend equipment lifespan, reduce maintenance costs, and enhance system stability by minimising vibrations and impacts.

Which industries use rolling rubber springs? +

Rolling rubber springs are commonly used in railway systems, heavy machinery, construction, and material handling industries.

How do rolling rubber springs compare to traditional metal springs? +

Unlike metal springs, rolling rubber springs provide better vibration isolation, quieter operation, and reduced wear and tear on surrounding components.

Can rolling rubber springs be customised for specific applications? +

Yes, we design and manufacture custom rolling rubber springs to meet specific load-bearing, environmental, and operational requirements.

What materials are used in GMT Rubber’s rolling rubber springs? +

Our springs are made from high-quality rubber and rubber-metal composites to ensure durability, flexibility, and optimal vibration control.

Are rolling rubber springs suitable for heavy-duty applications? +

Yes, they are designed to handle high loads, extreme operating conditions, and continuous movement in rail and industrial applications.
